Great Southern Electrical Services is currently working with Macco Feeds at Williams on the electrical and automation scope for a future batching plant, in collaboration with Agtric. Batching plants are central to stockfeed manufacturing, controlling how ingredients are weighed, dosed and combined to produce consistent rations. Accuracy and repeatability depend on well-designed control systems and reliable instrumentation. They also need an electrical installation that can handle the motors, conveyors and ancillary equipment moving product through the plant.
The project continues a relationship with Macco Feeds that dates back to 2014, when we delivered the electrical installation for its Uniconfort biomass boiler. That history means our team already understands the site’s electrical infrastructure and operating demands, which reduces risk as new plant is integrated with existing systems. Working alongside Agtric allows electrical, automation and process engineering requirements to be coordinated from early in the project. Control philosophy, panel design and field installation can then align with how the plant is intended to operate. Because the batching plant is being introduced to a working feed mill, installation and commissioning are being planned around production to limit disruption. All work will be delivered to AS/NZS 3000, with complete test records, documentation and asset information provided at handover. The project reflects how many of our client relationships develop, with initial work leading to ongoing i
